What's In Season - September
Fall fruits and vegetables are bursting with inspiration this September, perfect for creating nourishing, colorful meals and easing back into comforting routines.
Hello, September! I’m so ready for you — and I can’t help but feel energized by the fresh season ahead. Fall fruits and vegetables are bursting with inspiration, perfect for creating nourishing, colorful meals.
I’m also looking forward to more time outdoors — walking, moving, and breathing in that hint of crisp autumn air. Here in Houston, “crisp” really just means we’ve finally dipped below sauna status (small victories!). Wherever you are, I hope you’re getting to breathe in that refreshing fall air a little sooner — and if so, send some my way!
This season invites us to settle back into routines: cooking more at home, gathering around the table, and embracing the Mediterranean way of eating — simple, flavorful, and always centered around connection.
Here’s to welcoming fall with warmth, fresh inspiration, and joy in the rhythms of everyday life. 🍎🥗✨
Kale and Lentil Salad with Beets & Feta
This Kale and Lentil Salad with Beets & Feta is the perfect meal-prep option for September. I love having a fresh salad during the fall, but I crave something heartier that incorporates lentils or whole grains for added substance.
Crispy Green Bean Fries
These make for a super simple side! We used our air fryer to make crispy green bean “fries” and they turned out perfectly. If you don’t have an air fryer, we included oven directions, but we do prefer the texture that the air fryer is able to create. Enjoy!
Healthy Spiced Apple Zucchini Muffins
These Healthy Spiced Apple Zucchini Muffins are the perfect treat to enjoy as we enter Fall. These tasty muffins are made with whole wheat flour, apple, zucchini, eggs, and wonderful spices. Try our spiced muffins for a nutritious breakfast, a quick snack, or warmed up for a delicious dessert.
Happy Cooking!
