While the Mediterranean Diet doesn’t center around red meat, when we do enjoy it, we make sure it’s something special—and this steak skillet is just that. I first spotted the recipe on the Sur La Table website while browsing for kitchen gear. It originally came from Bon Appétit and instantly struck me as the perfect springtime dish. I gave it a Mediterranean twist by scaling back the steak and loading up on fresh spring vegetables.

Cooked in a cast iron skillet, the steak gets a beautiful, flavorful crust. Paired with vibrant veggies and earthy mushrooms, it’s a lovely balance of richness and freshness. And the spicy honey mustard sauce? It ties everything together with just the right kick. Add a simple green salad on the side, and you’ve got a delicious, satisfying dinner on the table.
