This is one of my all-time favorite recipes from Ina Garten—her rack of lamb is pure perfection. It’s easy, incredibly flavorful, and turns out beautifully every time—truly an entertainer’s dream.

So, for Easter 2020 (peak COVID era), I decided to make it for my family.

Planning the menu felt extra special that year. Everyone was home, pitching in, and we were determined to make the day feel joyful despite everything going on. I even planned to pick nasturtiums from my mother-in-law’s garden to garnish the lamb. We had online church, a full house, and everything was coming together just right.

Naturally, the camera had to eat first.

I pulled the lamb straight from the oven and set it on our marble slab for its photo moment. What could possibly go wrong?
