Nutrition Advice Is Everywhere—Here’s Who to Trust
March is National Nutrition Month, & with so much conflicting information online, having guidance from a credentialed expert can make all the difference in building healthy habits that actually last.
March is National Nutrition Month, a time dedicated to learning how to make informed food choices and build healthier habits.
And today is also Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Day, which makes it the perfect time to celebrate the incredible dietitians who dedicate their careers to helping people live healthier lives.
Today, I’m especially grateful for the amazing team of dietitians here at Fully Mediterranean, and for all of my fellow RDNs who work every day to share credible, evidence-based nutrition in a world full of confusion and misinformation.
Because let’s be honest—nutrition advice is everywhere.
But with so much nutrition advice out there, it can be hard to know what’s credible and what’s not. That’s where registered dietitians come in—helping you cut through the noise with evidence-based nutrition and focus on the consistent habits that truly support your health.
At Fully Mediterranean, that’s exactly what we focus on year-round—helping you build simple, consistent habits that support a delicious, sustainable Mediterranean lifestyle.
Our team of registered dietitians are passionate about helping you learn how to cook, eat, and truly thrive.
What is a dietitian?
Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDs or RDNs):
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition
Complete 1,000+ hours of supervised training
Pass a national credentialing exam
Maintain their license through ongoing education
In short, dietitians are trained, credentialed nutrition experts.
Dietitian vs. Nutritionist
This is where confusion often happens.
While dietitians are regulated and credentialed, the title “nutritionist” isn’t standardized, meaning anyone can technically use it—even without formal training.
That’s why it’s important to look for the RD or RDN credential when seeking trustworthy nutrition guidance.
Do you need to see a dietitian?
We believe everyone can benefit from working with a dietitian.
A dietitian can help you:
Manage conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure
Create a personalized meal plan
Simplify grocery shopping
Improve energy levels
Support sustainable weight management
Most importantly, we help you build the consistent, realistic habits that make healthy living actually stick.
If you’re ready for guidance and support, we’d love to work with you.
