Whether you’re prepping for a busy season, recovering from surgery, helping a friend or family member, welcoming a new baby, or just trying to get through the week, freezer meals can take a load off your shoulders. They’re one of the most practical ways to stick with a Mediterranean lifestyle, without the daily stress of figuring out what’s for dinner.

My friends and I have entered a season where our parents are starting to have health complications. Being able to bring a meal to a friend, not just something warm for the table that night, but something they can freeze and use when they really need it, has become one of the most meaningful ways we show up for each other. It’s a small gesture that takes one thing off their plate, and it’s always so appreciated.

Sometimes the hardest part of cooking is just starting. Knowing you’ve already got something nourishing in the freezer makes all the difference.

Today, we’re talking about how to build a Mediterranean-style freezer that works for real life.
